PURPOSE:To obtain through direct spinning-drawing process the titled yarn of low residual elongation free from breakage and looseness, by providing melt-spun polyester filaments with fluid interlacing treatment and imparting a lubricant followed by drawing at a temperature higher than the second-order transition point of said polyester. CONSTITUTION:A polyester such as polyethylene terephthalate is melt-spun, the resultant filaments being provided with fluid interlacing treatment followed by imparting a lubricant. The filaments thus treated are then drawn at a temperature higher than the second-order transition point of said polyester, thus obtaining the objective yarn.
