PURPOSE:To obtain a long hollow product by a method wherein a long tapered mold, both ends of which are laterally supported by bearings, is further held horizontally in its root side by another bearing and rotated so as to be wound spirally with a hardener-containing resin-impregnated cloth-tape or with a multilayered tape in order to wind up into a tube, which is hardened and finally demolded from the long tapered mold. CONSTITUTION:The tip of a long tapered mold, the root side of which is pivotally supported by two bearings 3 and 4, is lightly and pivotally supported by a bearing 2. Release papers 17 and releaser are applied onto the outer periphery of the tapered mold 1 before cloth-tape or the like is wound round said periphery. Multilayered tape 8 is formed by laminating roving cloth-tape 5 and glass mat tape 6, both of which are respectively wound on bobbins, to each other in the midway of their delivery courses, and integrating them by impregnating with hardener consisting of unsaturated polyester resin by passing them through a resin impregnating tank 7 and, after that, wound round the tapered mold 1. The multilayered tape 8 is spirally wound round the tapered mold 1 by rotating the tapered mold slowly. The winding is done from the tip of the mold to its root by repeated plural times. After hardened fully, a wound and hardened FRP product 14 is pushed towards the tip of the mold so as to be demolded from the mold 1. Finally, the root and tip parts are cut off by the required lengths. |
