PURPOSE:To simultaneously input signal equivalent to plural frames by adhering two or more solid-state image pickup devices on a prism, electronically operating shutter actions for said elements with field input, and inputting frames at the same shutter timing by combining said shutter actions. CONSTITUTION:An electronic shutter drive circuit 8 generates a timing pulse to perform an electronic shutter action from a synchronizing signal supplied from a synchronizing signal generation circuit 9, and drives interline type CCDs 6, 7. A signal B read from the CCD 7 is delayed by one field length by a field memory 10, and thus shifted to a timing shown by the signal 14 in the figure. In a processing circuit 11, the first field-share of signals 13 read from the CCD 6 and said delayed signal 14 from the CCD 7 are combined with each other and processed, to obtain a video signal 15 in the figure. In such a way, frames of signals are inputted at the same shutter timing by the electronic shutter action mentioned above, and a video signal is outputted.
