PURPOSE:To reduce the size and the weight of a device and a prevent propagation of vibration to a base bed, by a method wherein, in a feeder for conveying powdery material and the like, a magnet is mounted to a trough and an electromagnet is situated so that a magnetic force is exerted on the magnet. CONSTITUTION:By generating resiliency between electromagnets 3, 4 and magnets 5, 6 by applying a specified voltage on the electromagnets 3 and 4, a trough 9 is floated. This constitution eliminates mechanism coupling between the trough 9 and a fixing surface 2, and vibration is prevented from propagation to the fixing surface 2. By exerting a rectangular fluctuation in a voltage value on a charge voltage, vibration responding to the period of an impressed voltage is generated to start transfer in the trough 9. This constitution enables reduction of the size and the weight of a device, and prevention of propagation of vibration to a base bed.
