An apparatus for moving the impeller (2) of a pump axially, in which apparatus the impeller is fastened with threads. In the shaft sleeve (8) there is a lug (12) which fits to a notch (13) in the hub of the impeller. Since the impeller and the shaft sleeve are connected to each other in this way, the impeller rotates at the same time when the shaft sleeve is rotated thus changing the clearances (A, B) between the front and the back surface of the impeller and the corresponding surfaces in the pump casing (1). |
