Rotary piston arrangement for a motor, pump, compressor, etc., in which at least two pistons, located in a housing, are pivotally supported in the centre of their longitudinal axis on extensions. The extensions are linked, in a non-rotating manner, with a drive or driven shaft, the centre point of which is the centre point of the housing and the origin of the co-ordinates, whereby the ends of the pistons are applied in a sealed manner against the inner wall of the housing. The inner wall or contour of the housing is separated into four quadrants, the opposing quadrants of which have a mirror-image inner contour. Said inner contour of the housing is symmetrical in each quadrant in relation to the relevant co-ordinate axis passing through the quadrant. The end points of the inner contour in each quadrant are determined by points (P, Q, R, T) which, in relation to the centre point of the housing, have, as the co-ordinate origin, the x, y-co-ordinates x = +/- l/2 and y = +/- l/2, whereby l is the piston length. According to the invention, the pivoting point (S) of the piston (3) on the extension (4) at the height of the connecting line is located between the leading (7) and trailing (6) ends of the piston (3). The inner contour of one of the quadrants (I, II, III, IV) is formed by a curved line which, between the end-points (P, Q) of this quadrant (I), fits the equation x<n> + (y+m)<n> = r<n>. |
