PURPOSE:To prevent the generation of noise due to the vibration of a rising and falling body, by a method wherein the elastic material engaged with the annular groove of a type wheel and the projection inserted into a notch are established to a rising and falling material, and the type wheel is made movable to a position at which it conforms to printing and a position at which it is received in a casing by the travelling stroke of the rising and falling material. CONSTITUTION:The required one type wheel 3 engaged, by being respectively positioned at a home position, with the rising a falling material 1 of which a plurality are received in a casing 7 mounted movably on a carrier 4 is positioned at a position where it conforms to printing in the upward stroke of the rising and falling material 1. After engaging the rotary shaft 11 of a wheel motor 11 with the wheel 3, only the rising and falling material 1 is received in the casing 7 against its elastic material in the downward stroke of the rising and falling material 1. The type wheel is pivoted in this state and printing is carried out. After end of printing, the elastic material 2 is engaged with the annular groove 3e of the boss part 3a of the wheel 3 in the upward stroke of the rising and falling material. After releasing the engagement of the wheel 3 with the pivot of the motor 10 by inserting a projection 1d into a notch 3c, the type wheel 3 is received in the casing 7 under a state where it is positioned at the home position in the downward stroke of the rising and falling material. |
