PURPOSE:To obtain the titled toner having stabilized charging characteristics and less change of a charging amount, even in case of the change of environment by composing the titled toner from a specific resin binder, a copolymer contg. a quarternary ammonium base which has a specific repeating unit, and a coloring agent. CONSTITUTION:The titled toner is composed of the resin binder comprising at least one kind of the resin selected from the copolymer of styrene and/or methylstyrene and alkyl(meth)acrylate, a polyester resin and an epoxy resin, and 1-10wt.pts. the copolymer contg. the quarternary ammonium base on the weight basis of 100wt.pts. the resin binder, and the coloring agent. The copolymer contg. the quarternary ammonium base is composed of 65-97wt% the repeating units shown by formula (I) and 35-3wt% the repeating units shown by formula (II), and has a weight average molecular weight of 2,000-10,000. In the formulas, R1 and R2 are each hydrogen atm or methyl group, R3 is alkylene group, R4, R5 and R6 are each alkyl group. Thus, the titled toner having stabilized electric chargeability is obtd.
