A racket, especially a tennis racket, is proposed, having a handle part adjoining a striking surface, and the handle part having a handle aperture with a grip part arranged transversely to the longitudinal direction of the handle part. On the side opposite the handle part, the grip part is adjoined by an extension part which is of resilient design, especially in its end section, and is designed to rest against the forearm of a player. To this end, the end section of the extension part is designed to project or curve away, transversely to its longitudinal direction, and is designed as a transverse bow part which is bent away so as to enclose, at least partially, a forearm of a player, this part forming a resiliently elastic counter-bearing when the handle aperture is gripped.
