PURPOSE:To reduce an overhead for control for time slot assignment and to handle diverse traffic by finding the control without making any reservation when a line is constituted. CONSTITUTION:A frame 20 consists of three time areas and employs a multiple access system, and those time areas are a time area 21 where a TDMA system is used, a time area 22 where a round robin system is used on a time-division basis according to transmission speed, and a time area 23 where a slotted alopha system is used. Time slots 24A-24D of the time area 21 are assigned to a high load terminal, the time slot 26A of the time area 23 is assigned to a light- load terminal, and time slots 25A-25E of the time area 22 are assigned to a terminal which has an intermediate load. The characteristics of the respective terminals are registered in the centralized control station of a communication network and the control station has a means for recognizing how large load each terminal has at the time of network constitution. Consequently, the diverse traffic of the terminals can be handled. |
