The invention relates to a process for producing mouldings consisting of air-permeable materials such as nonwoven fabrics, open-celled foam or the like, in which the moulding material is fed into a mould possessing the desired contour, subsequently heat is supplied such that heat-activatable binder substances distributed in the moulding material are caused to soften and the moulding is removed from the mould after complete cooling of the binding substances. To obtain an in particular energetically advantageous production, it is proposed to supply the heat by means of hot air blown through the moulding material. <IMAGE>
