VEHICLE WINDSCREEN WIPER WITH A SINGLE WIPER BLADE

The windscreen wiper (1) is of the type in which an arm (3) carrying a wiper blade holding member (4) is rotated in a reciprocating manner about a drive pin (6) in order to wipe a vehicle window (2) (rear window or windscreen). It comprises an arm support member (7) keyed on to said pin (6), from which it receives reciprocating rotary movement, and means (8) for transmitting to said arm (3), carried by the arm support member (7), a movement relative to this latter and such that the wiper blade holding member (4) is moved with translatory motion radially to the drive pin (6) simultaneously with the rotation of the arm support member (7). A larger surface of the window (2) is thus wiped.
