PURPOSE:To manufacture a T-shaped rubber belt which can perform readout and conveyance of a bank note and magnetic card precisely, by a method wherein after unvulcanized rubber is coated over a thread which is wound round a core metal in which semivulcanized rubber or vulcanized rubber is fitted, a hollow and cylindrical mold arranged within a cavity of a press mold is heated and pressurized by arranging the foregoing core metal concentrically within the hollow and cylindrical mold. CONSTITUTION:A reinforcing core material layer 3 is formed by a method wherein a cylinder 2 of an unvulcanized ethylene.propylene terpolymer rubber in a semivulcanized state finished by polishing processing is fitted over a core metal 6 whose outside diameter is 80mm and a polyester twisted thread is wound round the surface of the cylinder 2. Then after unvulcanized rubber whose quality is the same as that of the rubber extruded by an extruding machine is coated over the reinforcing core material layer 3, and the same is divided into four in a longitudinal direction. Then the core metal 6 to which a semivulcanized rubber layer, the reinforcing core material layer and unvulcanized rubber are fitted is arranged concentrically by using a cop 7 within a hollow and cylindrical mold 5 having a plurality of groove parts 8 in a circumferential direction. Vulcanization is completed by arranging the hollow and cylindrical mold 5 within a cavity 9 of a press mold 1 and pressing is applied to the same by an electric hot press. Then a T-shaped rubber belt is obtained by applying cutting off processing to the same.
