PURPOSE:To prevent a fiber and an external cylindrical member from cracking even when resin is cured quickly from a high temperature state at the time of assembly of an optical connector by adding fine particles of a material different from the resin of the fixation part of a ferrule to the resin. CONSTITUTION:The optical fiber 11 of the ferrule 10 is inserted into the cylindrical member 12 made of metal, ceramics, plastic, etc., and fixed by heating and curing the resin charged in the fixation part between the both. Fine particles 14 are added to the resin 13 and use, for example, ceramics. The shrinkage force of the heat curing of the resin 13 operates on the fine particles 14 in the resin 13 as shown by an arrow 15, but the force operates on the fine particles 14 in an optional direction and cancel itself on the whole. Consequently, even when the resin 13 is cured speedily at high temperature, the shrinkage force of the resin 13 exerts any influence upon neither the optical fiber 11 nor cylindrical member 12 and the optical fiber 11 and cylindrical member 12 do not crack.
