Arrangement for controlling a drive for rail power units

In order to control a drive for rail power units, in particular a diesel-hydraulic drive, a divider element is used as integrator stage of a PID controller, which element is fed the signal corresponding to the control deviation and the output signal, corresponding to the differential quotient of the control deviation, of the differentiator stage of the PID controller. With the aid of this special design of the integrator stage, control overshoots when starting up the rail power unit or in the event of severe set value changes can be avoided without adversely affecting the PID behaviour of the controller.
