PURPOSE:To prevent the generation of the flaw on the surface of a work piece and to improve the working efficiency by displacing the rocking body of the top die used for the box-bending of the peripheral side of a metal plate by interlocking with the ascent and descent of a top die holder. CONSTITUTION:A rocking body 27 and abutting body 71 are always projecting. A top die holder 19 is descended, the abutting body 71 is first abutted to a bottom die 13R, interlocked via a connection shaft 93B and a rocking body 27R is rotated to he upper part as well. At the time when a work piece is fixed by being held with the bottom die 13R and top die 25R the lower face of the rocking body 27R is coincided with the lower face of the top die 25R. After completion of the bending work by the ascent of a bend beam 35 the holding fixture of the work piece is released by lifting the top die holder 19, but the rocking body 27R rocked and descended by a interlocking device 45R according to the ascent of the abutting body 71. Consequently the rocking body can be isolated without rubbing the lower face by avoiding the interference with the flange part and narrowing the between the right and left both ends more than the plate stock surface.
