In a process for producing mouldings from plastic, in which a mould cavity in a tool is filled with plastic by a processing machine, the problem is that the air displaced in the mould cavity by the plastic material during the processing operation hinders this operation and, in the form of residual air pockets in the mould cavity, has a disadvantageous effect on the quality of the mouldings.
