PURPOSE:To obtain an image recorder having excellent printing quality by providing the device with a photosensitive body electrostatic charging means, an optical signal projecting means, a means for adsorbing ink mist and executing printing, and a means for destaticizing the photosensitive body. CONSTITUTION:The Se-group photosensitive body 1 rotated by a primary electrifier 2 is uniformly charged to positive polarity and selectively turned to '0' potential by projecting an optical signal 3 from an LED to form an electrostatic latent image. Recording paper 6 is electrostatically sucked and allowed to contact with the photosensitive body 1 and ink mist 11 is adsorbed to the paper 6 to print out an image. The ink mist image is directly formed on the paper 6 carried B at the same speed as the photosensitive body 1. Then, the electrostatic latent image on the photosensitive body 1 is destaticized by a destaticizing lamp 8. The ink mist is O or N ion flow in air and ionized by a corona electrode 13 so as to be electrified at the same polarity and potential as the primary charge potential on the surface of the photosensitive body 1. Thereby, the ink mist is electrostatically adsorbed only to the electrostatic latent image and the ink mist image is formed on the paper 6. In said constitution, a small-sized recording device with excellent printing quality can be obtained.
