PURPOSE:To enable a lowering stroke to be easily adjusted even if the height of a parts take-out position is different from that of a parts assembly position, by providing adjusting rods, whose length can be adjusted, and a means which selects the lowering stroke of an assembly head. CONSTITUTION:If an assembly head 1 horizontally moves to the upper of a parts supplier, a lift means 3 operates to lower a hand 9. Then a rod 10a of a shock absorber 10 is adapted to a selector plate 11 relaxing a lowering speed, next the one adjusting rod 12 is adapted to the upper surface of the selector plate 11, and the hand 9 stops lowering to clamp a part. Thereafter, the assembly head 1 horizontally moves to the upper of a pallet 8, and the hand 9 lowers. Then the other adjusting rod 13 is adapted to the upper surface of the selector plate 11 after the shock absorber 10 operates, and the hand 9 stops lowering. In this way, a lowering stroke of the hand 9 can be optionally adjusted by performing length adjustment of the adjusting rods 12, 13.
