The subject of the application is a power shift transmission for motor vehicles, self-propelled agricultural machinery or the like with a transmission input shaft and at least two clutches, which are connected thereto and can be operated by way of auxiliary devices, which clutches, by way of transmission stages with different ratios, alternately connect the input shaft to an intermediate shaft or an output shaft. In the process, when changing the transmission stages the clutch carrying the load at any one time is disengaged and that clutch receiving the load is engaged. It is now proposed, in the case of such a power shift transmission, to achieve an overlap of the engagement process of the load-receiving clutch and the disengaging process of the load-carrying clutch. For this purpose the disconnection point of the load-carrying clutch can be adjusted relative to the engagement point of the load-receiving clutch with an increasing time delay as the load moment increases. |
