Reader, in particular of memory cards, comprising a printed circuit board provided with electronic components for processing and/or interrogating the data contained in the memory card, this printed circuit board being arranged in a box or an appliance provided with a front slot for inserting the memory card. This card reader (1) comprises flexible contacts establishing electrical contact between the electronic circuits of the reader (1) and the contact regions of the chip (30) of the memory card (6), the said flexible contacts interacting, on the one hand, with means of guiding and positioning the free ends (10) of the said flexible contacts, and on the other hand, with means of guiding and positioning the memory card (6) in the reader (1).
