<p>PURPOSE:To mount a transparent tablet on a medium on which coordinates are to be read and to read the coordinates of a thick medium easily by forming scanning lines of transparent material and laying the scanning lines on a substrate. CONSTITUTION:Substrates 1 and 2 of the tablet of a coordinate reader are made of colorless, transparent hard glass with specific thickness, and Plural U-shaped X scanning lines x1-xn and Y scanning lines y1-yn are formed on the reverse surfaces of the substrates 1 and 2 in parallel by etching the substrates after vapor-depositing transparent indium oxide. Those substrates 1 and 2 are stacked one over another so that the X scanning lines and Y scanning lines cross each other at right angles. Files 3 and 4 for shielding are formed on the substrates 1 and 2 by vapor-depositing indium oxide to confine noise in the tablet. Further, insulating films 5 and 6 of transparent silicon dioxide are vapor-deposited on the scanning lines x1-xn and y1-yn. The transparent tablet is placed on the medium on which a coordinate read is performed to read coordinates easily.</p> |
