A woven zip-fastener strip (10) has a binding thread system (23) which extends along a continuous row of coupling links (16) and fixes these coupling links (16) to a longitudinal edge part (14) of a woven support band (11). The binding thread system includes a warp thread (24) which extends through a tunnel-like gap (21) between the coupling-link row and bears on the lower side of the upper leg (19), in the vicinity of the coupling heads (17); the system furthermore includes a weft thread (27). This has first loops (31), in which is hung the longitudinal edge part (14) of the support band, and also second loops (32), which rest on the upper legs (19) of the coupling links (16), in the vicinity of the coupling head (17). The weft thread (27) also bears on the lower side of the warp thread (24) at points which are placed at either side of the upper leg. By virtue of this binding thread system, the upper legs (19) are held captive between the warp thread (24) and the weft thread (27). <IMAGE> |
