PURPOSE:To facilitate maintenance and cleaning by holding a contact image sensor and a thermosensitive head to one open/switch part to open the contact image sensor, the thermosensitive head and each platen roller by one opening and closing operation. CONSTITUTION:While the contact image sensor 1 and the themosensitive head 3 are held by the open/close part 9, they are separated from platen rollers 2, 4 and moved upward by opening the open/close part 9 around an open/close fulcrum 10 at maintenance/cleaning. Thus, the contact image sensor 1, the thermosensitive head 3, the 1st platen roller 2 and the 2nd platen roller 4 are exposed to facilitate the maintenance and cleaning. The contact image sensor 1 and the thermosensitive head 3 are held by the open/close part 9, then the mounting space of the fulcrum of the open/close part holding the thermosensitive head is not required, then the distance between the 1st platen roller 1 and the 2nd platen roller 3 is reduced by the space thereby miniaturizing the equipment.
