<p>PURPOSE:To prevent seizure or abnormal wear from occurring between a swaying scroll and a thrust bearing by forming a hard metallic coat on the back side of the swaying scroll which revolves eccentrically relative to a fixed scroll to suck in, compress, and deliver a liquid. CONSTITUTION:A swaying scroll 2 with its phase displayed by 180 deg. relative to a fixed scroll 1 is combined with the fixed scroll. A gas sucked into a compression chamber 5 formed between scroll ridges 1a and 2a arranged on respective scrolls 1 and 2 as the swaying scroll revolves and sways, compressed and delivered. Here, a thrust caused by a pressure of the compressed gas and acting on the swaying scroll 2 is received with a thrust bearing 7. And a hard metallic coat is formed on the back side (underside) of the swaying scroll. Since this increases surface hardness and strength of the back side of the swaying scroll 2, seizure or abnormal wear can be prevented from occurring between the back side and the thrust bearing 7.</p> |
