PURPOSE:To prevent the increase of a pressure drop with lapse of time and to suppress the decrease of reaction efficiency by molding a material contg. <100wt% NaCl to a monolith shape. CONSTITUTION:The higher ratio of NaCl contained in the molding is more preferable in order to bring the same into reaction with SO3 in terms of a service life and is preferably 30-80wt% when the moldability of the molding is taken into consideration. A binder component to improve a caking property occupies as the other additive material. The monolith shape include the moldings formed to plural parallel plates, plural cylinders or a honeycomb shape. The increase of the pressure drop with lapse of time is not admitted for a long period of time and the measured value of the concn. of SO3, as a result of the continuous analysis for the long time, continues to exhibits the stable values in the case of using the honeycomb-shaped molding.
