PURPOSE:To reduce the size over the entire part of a device and to produce clean water having high safety by disposing a cup-shaped filter into a cup-shaped casing, providing a filter membrane and tube to the inside surface thereof and providing a means for exerting air pressure to the filter. CONSTITUTION:The cup-shaped filter 30 is disposed into the cup-shaped casing 10 and the filter membrane 34 is disposed to the inside surface of the filter. The tube 40 having an aperture in the lower side is disposed in the filter 30 so as to be enclosed by the filter 30 and the air pressure is exerted by the pressurizing means 60 to the filter 30. As a result, the entire part of the device is made smaller in size and the transportation is made convenient. The intrusion of microorganisms such as bacteria and yeast into the filtered water is obviated and the clean water having the high safety is obtd. This device has the advantage that the water hardly remains in the filter 30 upon ending of filtration as the feed water is pushed up into the spacing 38 between the filter 30 and the tube 40 by the pressure in a pressure chamber 2 on decreasing of the feed water.
