PURPOSE:To decrease the manufacture man-hours of a liquid crystal display element and to lower its projection cost by forming an auxiliary seal pattern which blocks a liquid crystal injection hole continuously simultaneously with a frame-shaped main seal pattern, compressing and heating each seal pattern while liquid crystal is injected and bridging the auxiliary seal pattern in the injection hole, and thus sealing the injection hole. CONSTITUTION:The frame-shaped main seal pattern 2 which has the injection hole 3 and the auxiliary seal pattern 7 which blocks the injection hole 3 continuously are printed on a glass substrate 1a at the same time by the same artwork by using a seal material and a glass substrate 1b is stuck temporarily thereupon to form a liquid crystal cell 4. A specific amount of liquid crystal 5 is injected into the liquid crystal cell 4 and the upper and lower substrates 1a and 1b are heated while applied with pressure at the same time to cure the seal pattern 2 and auxiliary seal pattern 7. Consequently, the auxiliary seal pattern 7 is bridge mutually to seal the injection hole and also cured by a heat treatment.
