PURPOSE:To prolong the life of a floppy disc medium by seeking a head by every uniform time over the whole of tracks of the floppy disc medium when a floppy disc is not accessed. CONSTITUTION:The titled system is constituted of a microprocessor 1 which executes a program, a floppy disc control device 3 which can indicate a head seek position with a main memory 2 which stores the program and the program, a floppy disc 4, and a timepiece mechanism 5 which interrupts the program by every regulated time. In the system, an interruption process can be performed by every regulate time by the timepiece mechanism 5, in other words, a count value is loaded from a track counter which represents the next head position, and the head is sought at the position corresponding to the count value. The track value is updated by adding one on the track value, and it is decided whether an updated track value has been arrived at the maximum track value. And when it is yes, the track value is returned to zero, and when it is decided as no, the track value is stored at the track counter.
