PURPOSE:To enhance the starting characteristics by starting an air assist pump, which is to atomize the fuel for the later starting of the gas turbine, in a timing prior to actuation of the starter for gas turbine. CONSTITUTION:An air assist pump 5 is connected via a check valve 7 to a piping leading from the body 1 of a gas turbine to a fuel injection valve 4 of the combuster 3. In order to start the gas turbine, the air assist pump 5 is started in the timing prior to actuation of a starter 2 to promote atomization of the fuel, and when the output pressure of compressor attain a specific level, a contact 21a is disconnected. This can quicken the rise of the air assist pump 5, and plenty of atomizing air can be supplied in an early stage, which will enhance the starting characteristics of the gas turbine. |
