PURPOSE:To enhance printing and humidity resistance by using a Ti type coupling agent for the photoconductive layer of an electrophotographic printing plate material to be used as a printing plate by forming a toner image and removing a nonimage parts. CONSTITUTION:A Ti type coupling agent is used for a photoconductive layer to be used for forming a toner image by the electrophotographic process, then removing the nonimage parts excluding the toner image parts, and thus forming a printing plate. Such a printing plate material undergoes electrostatic charging, light exposure, toner adhesion, and removal of the nonimage parts of the photoconductive layer by using, e.g., an alkaline soln., and the image parts serviceable as a printing plate is thus formed. The addition of the Ti type coupling agent enhances hardening of the photoconductive layer, and adhesion to a substrate by heating treatment to be executed later, and improves printing resistance. Since the resin used for the photoconductive layer need not be a high polymer, its treatability with the alkaline soln. is good, and humidity resistance of the printing plate face is enhanced. As a result, several hundred thousand prints can be obtained from one plate. |
