PURPOSE:To record a clear image on an image receiving sheet by injecting powder ink, applying an electric field by charging electrodes and then passing a deflecting electrode. CONSTITUTION:Powder ink 2 having 5-30mum of 50% of volume reference calculation which mainly contains a binder and a colorant is injected by dry air 1 from a nozzle 4 at the speed of 10m/sec or faster. When an electric field is applied by a charging electrode 6, the individual ink particles are charged to fly. In this case, the charged ink powder files in a polarizing electric field by a deflecting electrode 8 on the basis of a deflecting power source 7 to be deflected, and the amount of charge applied to the ink powder can be controlled by applying a signal voltage to the electrode 6 or 8. Thus, the ink 9 controlled to be deflected collides with a image receiving sheet 10 to be secured as a clear image on the sheet by the prescribed fixing process. |
