The subject-matter of the invention is a tool clamping mandrel with tool length correction consisting of a tapered part (1) that can be clamped in the spindle of the machine tool and has a tightening bolt, of an adjoining annular collar (3) for the grippers of the tool changer, and of a cylindrical part (2) having the fastening and setting means for the tool. A tool driver ring (12) is arranged on a portion (13) formed centrally on the solid cylindrical part (2) in a manner which prevents relative rotation but allows axial displacement. Next to the driver ring (12) there is a two-piece setting ring (7), the inner ring (8) is held on the cylindrical part (2) in a manner which prevents relative rotation but allows axial displacement and engages by its external thread with the internal thread of the outer ring (9). An annular collar (4) for the purpose of providing axial support for the tool via the driver ring (12) and the setting ring (7) is furthermore provided on the cylindrical part (2). <IMAGE>
