PURPOSE:To quantitatively measure the reducing effect quickly, by measuring oxygen partial pressure in a molten material liquid drop at the inner bottom of a shaft which is loading a lump reducing agent and in a drain can separately to calculate the reducing effect from the values obtained by the standardization of the results into the oxygen partial pressures at a fixed temperature and measured values of oxygen partial pressures in the molten material liquid drop and arsenic when the reducing agent is not loaded. CONSTITUTION:Oxygen partial pressures are measured with an oxygen probe containing an oxygen concentration cell at the position in a shaft 1 sent radially to the center of a self-melting furnace about 2m from the furnace wall through a measuring hole 5 of the shaft 1 of the furnace and in a matt extracted at a matt extraction port 7 separately when no lump reducing agent is load. Then, the loading of mass coal is started from the ceiling of the shaft 1. Thereafter, after one day passes, oxygen partial pressures are measured at the measuring hole 5 of the shaft 1, a settler 6 and a can take off port 13. Then, the measured values thus obtained are sued to calculate the reducing effect for magnetite in a can due to the lump reducing agent according to a specified formula. It takes about 15 minute to accomplish the measurement of the oxygen partial pressures and thus, the measuring evaluation can be implemented quickly. |
