PURPOSE:To suppress the heat of a motor coil by intermittently interrupting currents which flow in phases of a polyphase step motor when an put pulse frequency is low, thereby reducing the input of the motor. CONSTITUTION:When an input pulse has a low frequency, the output of a monostable circuit 5 is output to a NAND logic circuit 17 as it is, the logic product with the outputs of NAND logic circuits 12, 13, 14, 15 are obtained by AND logic circuits 18, 19, 20, 21, respectively to obtain excitation signals of phase coils phi<1>-phi<4>. If the input pulse has a high frequency, the output of the logic circuit 17 becomes H level signal, the outputs of AND logic circuits 18, 19, 20, 21 are output from the outputs of the logic circuits 12, 13, 14, 15 as they are to obtain excitation signals of phase coils phi<1>-phi<4>. Thus, when the input pulse signal has a low frequency, the output pulse width of the circuit 5 becomes a period for exciting the phases of a polyphase step motor. |
