PURPOSE:To reduce the soil pressure of earth by a method in which a back wall is erected slantly on the outside of a bottom slab, and a front wall is erected almost vertically on the bottom slab to form a soil-housing space. CONSTITUTION:A back wall 12 is erected slantly on the outside of a bottom slab 11 from the one long side of the bottom slab 11, and a front wall 13 is erected almost vertically on the bottom slab 11 from the other long side of the bottom slab 11. A connecting wall 16 is provided continuously at almost right angle to the back and front walls 12 and 13 in the middle between the back and front walls 12 and 13 to form a retaining wall block 10. The block 10 is set by contacting the back side 19 of the back wall 12 with the sloped face, and soil is housed in the soil-housing space 15.
