The shut-off member (20) of the fire-protection fixture, when in the open position, is countersunk in a recess formed by a housing wall. The shut-off member (20) is brought into the closed position as a result of pivoting about its pivot axis (30). The pivoting movement takes place in the direction of flow of the medium flowing through the fixture; only a low pivoting moment therefore has to be exerted. The fixture has a low overall size, since the space required for the recess receiving the shut-off member (20) in the open position and for the pivoting drive to be executed in a simple way is small. <IMAGE>
