<p>The process consists of (a) converting natural wood into splinters by passing through a pair of crushing rollers, so that an appreciable proportion are substantially separated but not loose; (b) compressing the open reticulated texture of wood splinters by passing between pressure rollers, the texture being formed by substantially parallel fibres, aligned and interconnected in a natural manner; and (c) joining the fibres together by means of a bonding agent.</p> |
