PURPOSE:To simplify the constitution of a logical circuit and also to reduce the average power consumption by controlling the earth potential of an IIL by a logical signal. CONSTITUTION:An IIL consists of a pnp bipolar transistor TR Qp forming an injector INJ and an npn bipolar TR Qn forming a switch circuit. The base of the TR Qn is used as the 1st logical input (in) together with the collector used as the open type logical output (out) respectively. Then a common area with the emitter of the TR Qn is floated from the earth potential and used as the 2nd logical input phi. The flow-in of an injector current Ij is cut off and no electric power is consumed in an inactive mode where the input is set at H. Thus it is possible to obtain a logical circuit having the small power consumption by forming a logical circuit which positively utilizes both inputs (in) and phi.
