PURPOSE:To permit proper printing on products of different sizes and different shapes to be performed by a method in which printing is made by selecting one of printing letter information registered in advance by judging signals of a sensor to judge the kinds of products flowing on a conveyer. CONSTITUTION:An ink jet recorder 1 is provided with a letter information register having plural data on one or any combinations of height, width, and writing position of printing letters. In a recording judger 2 in the production line printing system, judging marks 4 on the surface of an object 3 to be printed, flowing on a conveyer 6, are read out, coded, and put as judging signal data in the recorder 1. The object 3 to be recorded is detected by a sensor 5 in the recorder 1, and after the lapse of a fixed delay time, printing content set is printed on the object 3 by a printing head 1a. |
