PURPOSE:To reduce the distortion of the waveform of a signal at the reproducing time by providing a core having a low permeability on the surface of the edge part in the main magnetic pole side of an auxiliary magnetic pole not to concentrate a magnetic flux to this edge part. CONSTITUTION:A magnetic path 7a passing an edge part 5b in the main magnetic pole side of an auxiliary magnetic pole 5 is made shorter than a magnetic path 7b passing the part other than the edge part 5b of the auxiliary magnetic pole. In this case, the permeability of a core 5c of the edge part 5b is reduced to reduce the flow of the magnetic flux on the magnetic path 7a passing the edge part 5b, thereby preventing the magnetic flux from being concentrated to the edge part 5b. Thus, a recording signal is easily picked up by the edge part 5b at the reproducing time. |
