An electric boiler 2 of the water jet electrode type has a control system including an outlet steam pressure controller 12 fed with actual and set pressure values, and an electric power input controller 14 fed with actual and set power values. Control is effected by control of the speed of a motor driving a pump 8 which delivers water to the boiler header. Each controller 12, 14 is also supplied with a signal from interface 11 indicative of the pump delivery. The output signal from one or other of the controllers 12, 14 is used to control the motor speed depending on which output signal is the greater (or the lesser) as determined by comparator 16. <IMAGE> |
