PURPOSE:To aim at promoting the multiple copying operation and the arranging operation thereafter, by providing such an arrangement that by indicating the remaining amount of sheets for the multiple copying operation when it is judged that the remaining amount is within a tolerable range, and by promptly issuing an alarm when it is judged that the remaining amount is out of the tolerable range. CONSTITUTION:If any paper sheet is present on a discharge tray 4, a reset switch 1 is rotated counterclockwise due to the weight of the sheet, but it is returned clockwise if no paper sheet is present thereon, thereby it is possible to inform the presence of a paper sheet to a control section. When a paper sheet passes over a discharge roller 3, a counter switch 2 is rotated clockwise to count the number of paper sheets to be discharged. A CPU receives signals from the switches 1, 2 and input signals 7 from various sensors and delivers its output signals to a sheet full alarm indicator 9 and the other loads 10 through I/O port 8. The alarm indicator 9 turns on a warning light, temporarily stops the copying operation, etc.
