PURPOSE:To eliminate the need for model patterns, to machine easily molding sand blocks, and to manufacture metal dies easily and economically by adhering molding sand with a vegetable low viscous paste having a specific mixing ratio to the sand to make the molding sand blocks and machining the sand blocks to form a mold. CONSTITUTION:The molding sand blocks are formed by mixing a vegetable low viscous paste of 0.1wt% to the refractory molding sand. A dried, cured block is machined to obtain a sand mold having a specified shape. Casting of metal dies becomes easy and economical because no model pattern is required and machining is easy. |
