A tyre for heavy lorries is provided with a profile with continuous circumferential grooves (G5, G6, G7) which are configured as bent zigzag grooves composed of groove sections (Ga, Gc) which extend in the circumferential direction and of sections (Gb, Gd) which are obliquely positioned at an angle of at least 30 DEG with respect to the circumferential direction of the tyre. The groove base (GA) of each groove is designed as a pure zigzag belt which is narrower than the upper width of the groove and has the same run-in and run-out length. In this way, the same degree of forward traction produced by the obliquely positioned sections of the groove is always maintained. <IMAGE> |
