PURPOSE:To inform easily that the time display is inaccurate to the user by changing a color of the time display if a power supply is interrupted in a color television receiver having clock functions displaying time on a screen. CONSTITUTION:Time is displayed on the screen by using a microcomputer 7 to control a time display LSI 9 connected to a cathode corresponding to a color CRT 6 via a diode 13. A preset flag is set to an RAM on a memory 11 and logical 1 is set to the flag when time matching is finished. Since the RAM is a volatile memory, its content is lost if power supply is failed. When the power supply is restored, the microcomputer 7 checks the content of the preset flag, and when the content is logical 0, it is discriminated as the presence of power failure, the time display LSI 9 is controlled to change the display color into red color and when the time matching is finished, the color of the time display is changed into green color.
