The solid matter compact accumulator with air heat exchanger consists of a combustion chamber 10 which is arranged in a housing and is formed from a combustion chamber bottom 2, a grate 3 and a combustion chamber top 4, above which a number of lying accumulator flues 5 formed by horizontal flue tops 6 and bottoms are arranged, through which the smoke gases are guided via a smoke pipe connection piece 28 into a chimney 39. The basic furnace formed by the combustion chamber 10, the flue tops 6 and lying accumulator flues 5 is arranged in an inner metal housing 1 which, forming a lateral, rear and upper separation, is inserted into a heat-insulated metal housing 15. As a result, an air heat exchanger is formed between the inner metal housing and the outer metal housing, which, with the aid of control elements, ensures accurate regulation of the warm air temperature as well as a delivery of this warm air temperature to remote consumers.
