摘要 PURPOSE:To make it possible to adjust the skew of a steel plate, etc. with a high degree of accuracy, and to aim at enhancing the efficiency of working in a transfer device for steel plates, etc., by operating a differential mechanism when a skew occurs, so that a relative speed is effected between both side conveyors. CONSTITUTION:Conveyors 11, 11a are provided on the terminal end side of a short length material conveyor. When optical sensors 13, 13a detect, for example, such a skew condition that the conveyor 11 precedes, a differential drive device 15 composed of a differential drive motor 15-1, a speed reduction gear 15-2, and a direction changer 15-3 is operated to adjust such that the conveyor 11 moves back relative to the conveyor 11a by means of a differential mechanism 14 composed of a gear 14-1, a planetary gear 14-3, a biteeth gear 14-2 and a gear 14-4. Further, both conveyors 11, 11a are driven by means of a conveyor drive unit 17. Accordingly, the skew of a steel plate, etc. may be adjusted with a high degree of accuracy, and therefore it is possible to prevent scratches on the rear surface of an article, collaps of front end of an article, bending of corner section of an article, misalignment of end part of articles upon packing and shipment.
