PURPOSE:To attain connection of a data communication equipment by insulating the reception data received from the secondary equipment to send as a transmit data to the primary equipment, and by reflecting the modem-interface control signal form the secondary equipment to then return it. CONSTITUTION:The transmission data SD transmitted from a data communication equipment A9 is received by a receiver circuit 14 of an insulation coupler 11, and converted to a reception data RD which is a digital data. Because the signal is transferred to a data communication equipment B10 after converting an SD-signal to an RD-signal and an ST1-signal to an RT-signal, the system connection, as seen from the equipment B10, appears as if with a modem. On the other hand, the SD-signal from the equipment B10 is converted to an RD-signal and is inputted to the receiver 20 of the insulation adaptor 11, i.e. reflected from ER-signal to a DR-signal and from RS-signal to a CS- signal or CD-signal, therefore, the insulation adaptor 11 appears as a modem to the equipment B10. In result, the inter-equipment insulation is achieved completely, and additionally, an insulation adaptor of simpler constitution which is connectable to equipment that has a modem interface, is provided economically.
