PURPOSE:To improve the mold parting property in the stage of molding a pattern for precision casting and to improve workability and productivity by using lost wax compounded with a specific petroleum resin and rosin resin. CONSTITUTION:The wax to be compounded with the petroleum resin and rosin resin includes paraffin, wax, carnauba wax, etc. The petroleum resin is obtd. by the polymn. of the aliphat. unsatd. hydrocarbon of 5C and arom. unsatd. hydrocarbon of 9C obtd. from the high-temp. cracked oil, etc. of petroleum. Various rosin resins are usable for the rosin resin and are exemplified by the esterified matter of natural rosin and polyhydric alcohol such as triethylene glycol or glycerol. The petroleum resin and rosin resin are then compounded in combination with the wax and are uniformly mixed under the melting by heating, by which the lost wax is obtd. |
